Wrexham Carnival of Words – New Writers’ Circle

Already trying your hand at writing? Fancy having a go? Maybe Wrexham’s new Writers’ Circle might be the thing you need. It’s just one among many of the Carnival’s success stories.

Wrexham is awash with writing talent and the very first Carnival of Words brought together many of our local poets, authors, playwrights, singer-songwriters, journalists, bloggers and kids’ storytellers to form the Wrexham Writers’ Group.

Thirty of the group’s members took part in the 2022 Writers’ Carousel as part of the Carnival. Open Mic and panel sessions to display their storytelling skills and entertain our audiences. They’ll be doing the same again when the Carousel returns to Ty Pawb on Saturday 29th April, starting at 11.00am.

But meanwhile the Writers’ Circle is alive and kicking – so that its members can share their work-in-progress and get feedback, as well as supporting each other on just about any aspect of their writing journey. The next meeting will take place on Saturday 26th November, 10.30am in Wrexham Library’s upstairs meeting room. If you’re interested, just let us know.
