She has also written gritty sagas set in a northeast coalmining village in 1919 and TV tie-in books for ITV’s Coronation Street. Glenda is an award-winning short story writer and was one of six finalists in the coveted Clement & Le Frenais comedy award. She also has a unique claim to fame as the writer of Riverside, a weekly soap opera published in The People’s Friend magazine since 2016.
