Glenda Young’s cosy crimes are set in modern-day Scarborough and were shortlisted for the Dead Good Readers Awards in the category of New Kid on the Block for best new crime series. She has also written gritty sagas set in a northeast coalmining village in 1919 and TV tie-in books for ITV’s Coronation Street. Glenda is an award-winning short story writer and was one of six finalists in the coveted Clement & Le Frenais comedy award. She also has a unique claim to fame as the writer of Riverside, a weekly soap opera published in The People’s Friend magazine since 2016.
